Adele lights up The Gabba as latest gig marks big moment for Brisbane

Adele didn’t skip on the fireworks for her latest gig in Australia, lighting up The Gabba with glittering pyrotechnics this weekend.

The latest stop on Adele’s first ever Australian tour proved to be a monumental moment for Brisbane, as the internationally-acclaimed songstress doted on the city throughout her set.

“It’s a sanctuary up here, I’m loving it,” she told the admiring crowd on the night.

Although this was shortly after spotting another cockroach on stage. “Oh my god, I’m not just saying it because of last time, there’s a beetle on my stage … just saw a cockroach . run for your life,” she reportedly joked.

Talking more about her time down under during the night, Adele turned her attention to the weather, “I’m sure you can tell I’m not cut out for your weather.

“My makeup has already come off. I’m shining. Even my eyelids are sweating. I’ve never worn a dress like this. I’m basically celebrating Beauty and The Beast coming out.”

Granted her stunning sequined frock was less than ideal for the evening heat but it was the lesser of two evils by the time she slipped into a full velvet number.

Now that’s dedication.

Thankfully one fan snapped the outfit in a perfectly-timed selfie…
