5 Seconds of Summer reschedule 2021 Australian tour dates

Our boys are coming home!

They’ve been taking the world by storm, now 5 Seconds of Summer have announced a huge homecoming tour this November and December.

We know you’ve been playing the band’s fourth studio album Calm on repeat over and over, and finally the tour will be our first chance to hear 5SOS’s new tunes on the live stage.

Besides the Friends of Friends special event with local faves Amy Shark and Genesis Owusu to raise money for Blacktown Youth Services Association, it’s been a little while since fans Down Under have got to experience a full 5SOS tour. The break stretching all the way back to the tail-end of 2018.

Don’t think their absence from our shores means they’ve been sitting around – that’s not true by a longshot. As well as huge headline tours around American and the United Kingdom, they also headed around the States with The Chainsmokers and Lennon Stella. 5 Seconds of Summer have definitely been racking up their frequent flyer miles.

And if their performance at last year’s Sydney’s Fire Fight Australia event is anything to go by, this upcoming tour will continue to see the guys in fine form. We cannot wait.

What makes these new tour dates even more special is that they fall right around 5SOS’ 10-year anniversary, meaning we get to celebrate the big occasion with the guys. We can’t wait to see what treats the have planned for the festivities.

Calm follows up 2018’s Youngblood, 2015’s Sounds Good Feels Good, and their triumphant 2014 self-titled debut. From pop-punk wunderkinds to a full-force evolution of modern pop’s sonic boundaries, so far, they’re three for three with #1 ARIA Album Chart and Billboard 200 debuts – the only band (not vocal group) in chart history to achieve the feat.

See you soon Luke, Michael, Calum, and Ashton!
