The Book of Mormon confirmed for Sydney Lyric season

The award-winning musical will open in Sydney next year - full ticket info here

It feels good to be a musical theatre fan in Sydney today, as The Book of Mormon confirms its brand new season.

After making its Australian debut in Melbourne this year, the hit Broadway production will be transferring to Sydney Lyric in February 2018.

The world renowned musical written by South Park’s Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and co-created with Avenue Q’s Robert Lopez, has nine Tony Awards to its name, including Best Musical, along with four Olivier Awards and a Grammy.

There’s simply no wondering why either, the production is the absolute height of hilarity, and somehow remains heartwarming all at the same time.

In case you need any reminder, The Book of Mormon follows two young missionaries (Elder Price and Elder Cunningham) who are sent to Ugandan to try to convert locals to Mormon religion. Faced with the reality of famine, illness, violence and poverty, the unlikely duo quickly realise their mission isn’t quite what they’d had in mind.

After wowing theatregoers in Melbourne, The Book of Mormon will now open at Sydney Lyric Theatre on February 28, 2018.

Get prepared for The Book of Mormon tickets before they go on sale

Open your Ticketmaster account and log in now

We suggest getting the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. Remember to triple check your passwords, delivery address and billing information now, so you’re not facing any last minute account updates when trying to process your order. Head to Ticketmaster.com.au now and log in to your account to get started.

Don’t refresh your screen

Stick to one window when you’re processing your ticket order and avoid the temptation to use multiple devices. Attempting to access tickets from multiple devices won’t increase your chances of securing tickets and could risk slowing the process down. Similarly, hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue, and as frustrating it can be, patience is key when trying to buy tickets.

Ticketmaster’s sophisticated systems are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen is doing all the hard work for you and will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.

Please note, if you see a ‘no tickets available’ message when attempting to purchase tickets, this means there are no tickets available within your search restrictions.

Keep an eye on the clock

There will be a time limit applied to all transactions as they’re progressed through the ticket purchasing stages. Remember to keep an eye on the timer on your screen and move through the processing pages as quickly as possible (this is even easier when you’ve completed the account set-up stage we mentioned above).
