NAB Challenge free for AFL club members

The AFL has announced a boost for 2015 AFL club members with the news that they will receive free entry to all NAB Challenge pre-season matches.

AFL club members with match entry entitlements will be eligible for free entry to pre-season matches in which their club is competing. It is yet another reason for supporters to become members of their club.

The AFL recently announced the NAB Challenge fixture, which will see all clubs play three matches around regional and metropolitan Australia. The final pre-season game for every club will be played at a regular AFL venue with all clubs playing in their home state.

The 2015 NAB Challenge fixture is more similar to the regular pre-season schedule we have come to expect with the 27 matches to be held over four weekends from Thursday to Sunday.

The NAB Challenge kicks off on Thursday February 26 with Hawthorn and Collingwood playing in Tasmania. The pre-season competition concludes on Sunday March 22, which gives all clubs one weekend off before the 2015 AFL Premiership season begins on Thursday April 1.

Matches within the first three weekends of the NAB Challenge are predominantly played at regional areas throughout Australia including Bendigo, Albury, Coffs Harbour, Port Lincoln, Burpengary, Mandurah and Townsville.

The final round of the NAB Challenge will give all clubs an opportunity to play in more traditional stadiums such as Etihad Stadium, Patersons Stadium, Metricon Stadium and AAMI Stadium.

Etihad Stadium will be busy during the NAB Challenge, hosting five matches including two on the one day. On Saturday March 21, the stadium will host Richmond v North Melbourne at 1.10pm before turning it all around for Western Bulldogs v Collingwood at 7.10pm.

Other highlights of the fixture include local derbies between West Coast and Fremantle at Patersons Stadium on Sunday March 22, the Gold Coast SUNS and Brisbane Lions on Friday March 20 and Port Adelaide and Adelaide at AAMI Stadium on Saturday March 21. Cats fans will also have a chance to see their side play a home game with Geelong taking on Adelaide at Simonds Stadium on Thursday March 12.

As well as entry to the NAB Challenge games, AFL Club membership is the best way to support your club. The financial support is vital for clubs and it is a great way to feel a part of the club and keep connected to what is going on.
