Canadian rockers, The Tea Party, have just surprised fans with details of a Transmission 20th Anniversary tour.

Announcing the dates online today, the award-winning band – who became notorious thanks to their distinctive blues, prog and Middle Eastern influences – will tour Australia in November, playing the record in full.

Among the dates are shows at Melbourne’s Forum, Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre and The Tivoli in Brisbane.

1997 was an epic year for the mark, marking the release of The Tea Party’s fourth studio album, Transmission.

The record reached #3 on the Australian charts, making it the highest charting album ever for the band and earning double platinum status.

Now it’s the turn of their Australian fans to help them celebrate the hit record 10 years on from its release.

With the album containing classic Tea Party hits like Temptation, Psychopomp, Release, Emerald and, of course, the legendary title track, fans will see the band perform Transmission in its entirety this November.
