Cold Chisel announce concert at Wrest Point Tasmania

Cold Chisel with Jimmy Barnes reveal details of a very special one-off show in November.

The legendary Cold Chisel have just announced details of an exclusive one-off show, set to take place in Tasmania this November.

Returning to remind fans exactly why they’re still one of Australia’s finest rock bands, Cold Chisel will perform on the Wrest Point Lawns later this year.

This will be the first time Cold Chisel, with Jimmy Barnes, have played in Tasmania since their epic Light The Nitro Tour back in 2011 (which remains the biggest grossing tour ever by an Australian-based band, btw!).

Cold Chisel comprises Jimmy Barnes (lead vocals), Ian Moss (lead guitar/vocals), Don Walker (keyboards/backing vocals), Phil Small (bass guitar) and Charley Drayton (drums/vocals).

This one-off gig also sees the band celebrate their biggest ever live release; The Last Stand of the Sydney Entertainment Centre – The Live Tapes – Vol 4, which lands on Friday 10 November.

Fans can expect to hear iconic songs like Flame Trees, Khe Sanh, Cheap Wine, Rising Sun and Bow River in November, as well as tracks from the band’s recent gold and platinum certified albums No Plans and The Perfect Crime.

Cold Chisel at Wrest Point Tasmania also forms the first announcement following Ticketmaster Australia’s new ticketing partnership with Wrest Point & Country Club Casinos.

Get prepared for Cold Chisel tickets before they go on sale

Open your Ticketmaster account and log in now

We suggest getting the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. Remember to triple check your passwords, delivery address and billing information now, so you’re not facing any last minute account updates when trying to process your order. Head to Ticketmaster.com.au now and log in to your account to get started.

Don’t refresh your screen

Stick to one window when you’re processing your ticket order and avoid the temptation to use multiple devices. Attempting to access tickets from multiple devices won’t increase your chances of securing tickets and could risk slowing the process down. Similarly, hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue, and as frustrating it can be, patience is key when trying to buy tickets.

Ticketmaster’s sophisticated systems are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen is doing all the hard work for you and will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.

Please note, if you see a ‘no tickets available’ message when attempting to purchase tickets, this means there are no tickets available within your search restrictions.

Keep an eye on the clock

There will be a time limit applied to all transactions as they’re progressed through the ticket purchasing stages. Remember to keep an eye on the timer on your screen and move through the processing pages as quickly as possible (this is even easier when you’ve completed the account set-up stage we mentioned above).

Check our social channels for updates

Our Twitter followers are the first to find out about ticket updates, even after tickets have gone on sale. Our real-time updates include any technical difficulties that may occur during such busy ticket sales.
