Byron Bay Bluesfest is named Best Major Festival At 2016 NSW Tourism Awards

Celebrations are in order for Bryon Bay Bluesfest after being named Best Major Festival At 2016 NSW Tourism Awards.

Adding to its already-packed trophy cabinet, the festival took home the top award for the second consecutive year.

“Can’t believe we’ve won Gold twice in a row; this is now our fourth gold win,” Bluesfest director Peter Noble said. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the incredible team at Bluesfest for their dedication; that truly is what makes Bluesfest the event that so many are compared by.

“It is only a couple of weeks since we were nominated in the US Pollstar Awards for the world’s best international music festival, for the fifth year in a row. Yet, to me, winning this award in our home state for the fourth time is something that is both humbling whilst at the same time exhilarating. We are simply over the moon today as this sinks in.”

Byron Bay Bluesfest 2017 takes over Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm from Thursday 13 to Monday 17 April 2017.
