St Kilda’s Palais Theatre is an iconic pillar of Melbourne’s entertainment scene and its pre-Christmas programme is reason enough to stop by the legendary venue this summer.

The much-loved Melbourne institution is gearing up to host a whole heap of awesome events throughout November and December, with headliners including The Temper Trap and Boyce Avenue.

Here’s six shows to make room for on your calendar…

1. Ol’ 55 / Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons (24 Nov)

Two of Australia’s most loved rock acts are teaming up for two special co-headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney – with both bands complete with classic line-ups.

4. The Monkees (7 Dec)

50 years on from the first TV episode, The Monkees’ anniversary show is coming to Australia. The tour follows a sold-out stint around North America and promises to pack more pop jams than your usual Wednesday night out. What this lot don’t know about putting on a great pop gig isn’t worth knowing.
